Sticker Block is a new player in the custom sticker printing game, so they wanted to make sure they were going to stick the landing right from the start. We were tasked with bringing the name to life and making sure it stood out on its own in a world of customer sticker printers.
We sketched out a large range of concepts based on a variety of ideas. After some discussions with the client, we were able to narrow down what key features they really gravitated towards. Those kinds of elements weren’t always visual, it included how something made someone feel, such as the euphoria someone feels when peeling a sticker off it’s backing. In the end, the client wanted clean lines that did not distract customers when they were viewing their own designs on the website.

Every project is different, and after talking to with Sticker Block, they kind of new exactly which design they wanted to go with. We did take a couple of others to the next stage, just to see if exploring them out a little further made for a stronger mark, but in the end, we went right back to the original choice. We then further strengthened the logo with some crucial adjustments and paired it with a strong wordmark that tied everything nicely together. What we arrived at was exactly what the client was hoping for.

Since the Client had a primary color in mind, we elected to build a simple range of shades to let the green really stick. Adding simple shades also allowed us to enhance the logo’s features, further strengthening the block shape.
The goal for Sticker Block is to eventually offer a range of customizable products, and the design language had to be flexible enough to accommodate more than just stickers. By utilizing the peeled effect on applicable products and leveraging the brand’s colors, we laid out a whole line of icons for potential offerings.

After building out their catalogue of brand assets, we went into tackling their website. Built on the Shopify platform, we made sure their brand identity was properly baked in, using the previously mentioned icons, colors, and more, ensuring the site felt like a cohesive high-quality extension of the products they were shipping out.

Speaking of shipping products, Sticker Block wanted to make sure that, when shipped out, each order followed the same principles: thought-out packaging and appearance. Creating a gooey pattern to be used on their packaging tape became the perfect answer. We also took that gooey effect and transferred it over to their business card, alongside the peel and rounded corners.
The folks behind Sticker Block has been a longtime client of ours, and we’ve been fortunate enough to have their trust on many different projects over the years. I want to thank them for putting their trust in Abuv once again. It was a pleasure building this whole brand out.
